WTF? John Day has gray hairs!!!!

So, its about four thirty on a saturday afternoon here in Murfreesboro and Joy and I are sitting outside in the frigid winds of middle TN having coffee. We got to talking and decided that there needed to be a blog for Megan, Joy, Jon, and myself to periodically jot down musings and other things of the sort. The four of us have been friends for many years now and the transition into adulthood has been a pleasure to share with such a tightly knit group. Jon and Joy are now married, not a big surprise, but a little weird to address Joy as Mrs. Hickman now. Megan lives in Boston, though she tends to be the more eclectic one of the group; and me, I'm just a 22 year old trying to graduate and get that proverbial "big kid" job. Anyway, being only 22, Joy just noticed that a patch of gray hairs is growing on my head. WTF? I'm only 22! Anyway, the rules for this new venture of our clan is that no entry can be made by any one of us alone. An entry requires atleast two convening members to be present and thus enter humorous banter and all of that. Anyway, Joy being impatient in the cold cold cold wind is taking my computer to enter her bit, so I must bid this the first entry ever in a series for the ages. Goodnight and good luck!

Ok, enough about "grandpa". Being as that I get the second entry, John of course took most of the good stuff. We are starting this new venture as a log of our adventures as a group. I am excited and a little pensive to see if this will actually work out. With Bert by my side I sit here in the freezing wind thinking about all of the wonderful memories already shared by our crazy group. As we have all watched each other get older and get random degrees I feel a sense of loss. A loss of my former youth, former close living proximity of us all, and former group trips taken. However, looking forward to finishing grad school and making real money brings a sense of hope. Hope that one day we will all live close again and be able to start a new generation of fearsome foursome memories... if only Meg and John would put aside all idiocy and just get married. I'm still working on that.. anyway, on with life, on with love, and on with tuition bills!
