Hey yall,
The time is fast approaching when we shall all be together again. So... this beggs the questions, what the hell do we want to do?
I think we ought to have a fearsome foursome pumpkin carving fest out with the fitpit in our back yard. What do you all think?
What other things do you want to do?
Post, post post!!!

We picked our lighting.. this is more for us girls
This is the new fan for our master suite
This is for the master bath...
This pendant is one of 2 for our bar in the kitchenWe are taking the old vintage chandelier from my parents kitchen, adding cool crystals to it and hanging it over the built in vanity... OOOO, so exciting for Joy.
We also picked our colors, very earthy and warm. The dining room and bathrooms will be a mocha color which will create a great contrast for the chair rail we are putting in the dining room and will go great with the chandeleir
This is the medallion we are hanging on the ceiling above the chandelier, and we will have a silk white chain cover... I am oozing with ideas and am on a big decorating buzz...

Ok, so I have fallen off of the face of the earth for the past month, but taking 25 hours and graduating will do that. As of today I am officially cleared for graduation!!! Which really means nothing except that my bill is cleared. I still have:
-4 finals
-6 projects
-2 shows
that I am officially involved in before school is done. And school is finished on the 8th. So..... one week. Luckily I am the queen of productivity under pressure. I will not be walking for graduation, I am still feeling the weekend long graduation festival from highland.
I got a job, btw, guys. I will be nannying a 5 year old for the next year or so, part time, free room and board. The little boy is super sweet and I think he might be gifted. The best part is that the family travels alot and they have an apartment in MANHATTEN. WOOHOO.
Anyways, I CANNOT WAT to see you guys soon!! Piper can't either.

Threesome out of Foursome Finals Rantings
As I sit here with J squared and myself at the Starbucks on Church st. I am enjoying a chilly beverage and whining over the finals that bane all of our existences. Well, Jonathan is finished, John is still pensive about finishing and I am awaiting my fate with the MAT tomorrow morning. (I finished finals Monday) The crossroads we constantly deal with are definitely getting a little old. However, as we look forward to "growing up" and getting done with school it is really a weird feeling. To think that this summer I am not taking ANY classes, all I have to do is work? Really? That's so strange.
Oh well.. my brain is too full of MAT analogies and trivial crap I need for this test tomorrow so I am going to stop...
It seems that Kirky is one who does not answer her phone. Either that, or Boston has recently passed a law against the use of cell phones. Arrangements could be made to complete the foursome again, but someone uhhh hmmmm....... needs to respond. Seriously, we should all return to the motherland; Memphrica.
Ok.... Now that these married jokers are done, its John Day's turn. Its 3 finals down and two more to go and then good bye MTSU for about a week. ha ha. No, not really going anywhere but Jon and Joy are, and I'm taking care of the pimptastic sir bert hickman for a week and it will be a guaranteed great time. Now I'm preparing to go to Memphis soon with Jon and Joy to visit with Megan and there will be one hell of a post to come from that! I'm trying not to commit academic suicide because the attraction of a local pub is very inviting at this moment semicolon however comma Tony Bennett just came on the radio and for some reason he is encouraging me to keep on pushing through this mess. Oh well, I've got a serious case of the academic blues but that's what good friends are for. I'm ready to go fly fishing far far away in the Ozarks of Southern Missouri and its coming soon. I must leave yall be at this point, to return to a dreary time of studies and academia! Remember, you stay classy San Diego! Goodnight and Good Luck!

WTF? John Day has gray hairs!!!!
So, its about four thirty on a saturday afternoon here in Murfreesboro and Joy and I are sitting outside in the frigid winds of middle TN having coffee. We got to talking and decided that there needed to be a blog for Megan, Joy, Jon, and myself to periodically jot down musings and other things of the sort. The four of us have been friends for many years now and the transition into adulthood has been a pleasure to share with such a tightly knit group. Jon and Joy are now married, not a big surprise, but a little weird to address Joy as Mrs. Hickman now. Megan lives in Boston, though she tends to be the more eclectic one of the group; and me, I'm just a 22 year old trying to graduate and get that proverbial "big kid" job. Anyway, being only 22, Joy just noticed that a patch of gray hairs is growing on my head. WTF? I'm only 22! Anyway, the rules for this new venture of our clan is that no entry can be made by any one of us alone. An entry requires atleast two convening members to be present and thus enter humorous banter and all of that. Anyway, Joy being impatient in the cold cold cold wind is taking my computer to enter her bit, so I must bid this the first entry ever in a series for the ages. Goodnight and good luck!

Ok, enough about "grandpa". Being as that I get the second entry, John of course took most of the good stuff. We are starting this new venture as a log of our adventures as a group. I am excited and a little pensive to see if this will actually work out. With Bert by my side I sit here in the freezing wind thinking about all of the wonderful memories already shared by our crazy group. As we have all watched each other get older and get random degrees I feel a sense of loss. A loss of my former youth, former close living proximity of us all, and former group trips taken. However, looking forward to finishing grad school and making real money brings a sense of hope. Hope that one day we will all live close again and be able to start a new generation of fearsome foursome memories... if only Meg and John would put aside all idiocy and just get married. I'm still working on that.. anyway, on with life, on with love, and on with tuition bills!
